ISOLATION +

Generally, the isolation procedure is done when performing a blood culture. The patient may have been diagnosed with an "FUO" (Fever Of Unknown Origin). We don't know why the patient is sick, which is why we're performing the blood culture and that is also the reason for the isolation procedure!
